This Privacy Policy explains how Traderware, Inc. (together with the Traderverse platform, “Traderverse,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use traderverse.io, the Traderverse web application at app.traderverse.io, our iOS and Android apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the Services.

1. Scope & who this covers

This policy applies to visitors, registered users, and prospective users of the Services worldwide. It does not cover third-party websites, brokerages, or services we link to or integrate with, which have their own privacy policies. Where required by law, we rely on the legal bases and consents described below.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect the categories of personal information below. Not every user provides every category.

We do not intend to collect sensitive data beyond §16. Please do not post sensitive personal information publicly.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you — when you register, build a profile, post, message, subscribe, connect a brokerage, or contact support.
  • Automatically — through cookies, SDKs, and server logs.
  • From third parties — brokerage-connectivity providers, authentication/social-login providers, payment processors, analytics/advertising partners, and our parent/affiliate Traderware, Inc. [[list key sources]]

4. How & why we use it (purposes & legal bases)

For users in the EEA/UK, the legal basis for each purpose is in brackets (Contract, Legitimate Interests, Consent, or Legal Obligation).

  • Provide, maintain, and operate the Services and your account [Contract].
  • Connect brokerages and display holdings, performance, and verified track record [Contract].
  • Personalize content, recommendations, search, and leaderboards [Legitimate Interests / Consent where required].
  • Power analytics and AI features, including trader-reputation and prediction-accuracy scoring [Legitimate Interests] (see §5).
  • Communicate about the Services, security, and — with consent where required — marketing [Legitimate Interests / Consent].
  • Process subscriptions and payments [Contract].
  • Protect the Services, prevent fraud/abuse, enforce our Terms [Legitimate Interests].
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and financial-services obligations [Legal Obligation].

5. Automated decision-making, profiling & AI

Traderverse uses analytics and AI features — for example, to generate market insights and news summaries, to personalize your feed and recommendations, to power search, and to calculate trader-reputation and prediction-accuracy signals.

[[LEGAL: confirm accurate.]] These features involve profiling but do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means. Where any such automated decision-making occurs, we will tell you, provide meaningful information about the logic, and offer the right to human review, to express your view, and to contest the decision. You can opt out of profiling for targeted advertising and certain other purposes per §13. AI outputs may be inaccurate and are not financial advice.

6. How we share & disclose personal information

  • Service providers / processors — hosting/cloud, brokerage-connectivity, analytics, payment processing, support, communications, security, and AI/model providers, acting on our instructions. [[Maintain a current sub-processor list/link.]]
  • Our parent and affiliates, including Traderware, Inc., for the purposes in this policy.
  • Other users & the public — profile info, posts, predictions, and content you choose to make visible, per your settings.
  • Legal & safety — to comply with law/legal process and protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
  • Business transfers — in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent — for any other disclosure you direct.

7. “Sale,” “sharing” & targeted advertising

[[LEGAL: choose the accurate statement.]] We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Certain US state laws (e.g., California’s CPRA) define “sale” and “sharing” broadly to include disclosures to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. [[State whether you engage in such "sharing"; if yes, offer "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and honor opt-out signals — see §8 and §13.]] We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

8. Cookies, tracking & your choices (Global Privacy Control)

We and our partners use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies for essential functionality, preferences, analytics, and [[advertising, if applicable]]. You can control cookies through your browser and our cookie preferences tool where available.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control, as a valid request to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” and targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal, as required in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, and other states. [[Ensure the site actually detects & honors GPC before stating this.]]

9. Financial data & brokerage connections

When you connect a brokerage account, we (and our brokerage-connectivity providers) access financial information such as holdings, positions, and trade history to provide portfolio tracking and verified performance. We treat this as confidential and use it only to provide and improve the Services.

[[LEGAL: determine GLBA applicability.]] To the extent any part of the Services is subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or similar financial-privacy laws, our handling of “nonpublic personal information” is governed by the applicable financial-privacy notice. [[If GLBA applies, add a GLBA notice + opt-out; if not, state Traderverse is not a financial institution and does not provide brokerage or advisory services.]]

10. Data retention

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the Services and your account, and afterward only as long as necessary to satisfy the purposes in this policy; comply with legal, tax, accounting, and financial-recordkeeping obligations; resolve disputes; and enforce agreements. We base retention on the type and sensitivity of the data, the purpose, and legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it. [[Add a retention schedule or representative periods.]]

11. Data security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. [[Summarize key measures.]] No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.

12. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and may process and store personal information in the US and other countries. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use a lawful transfer mechanism — such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions [[only if certified — confirm]], and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures. Request a copy via privacy@traderverse.io.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information; opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and appeal a decision on your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How to exercise: email privacy@traderverse.io [[or link a data-request form]]. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact your state attorney general or data-protection authority.

These rights apply to residents of the US states with comprehensive privacy laws (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Texas, Montana, Florida, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island), subject to each law’s terms. [[Keep this list current.]]

14. California notice (CCPA/CPRA)

In the prior 12 months we collected the categories in §2 (identifiers; commercial/financial information; internet activity; geolocation; audio/visual such as profile photos; professional information where provided; and inferences), for the purposes in §4, and disclosed them to the recipients in §6. California residents have the rights in §13, including to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit sensitive personal information. We honor GPC (see §8). [[Add "Shine the Light" statement and retention-by-category if required.]]

15. EEA / UK notice (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the data controller is Traderware, Inc. The legal bases are in §4 and your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent) are in §13. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. [[If you target or monitor EEA/UK individuals, appoint and name an EU/UK Article 27 representative and a DPO if required, with contact details here.]]

16. Sensitive personal information

Some information we handle — such as financial-account information and precise geolocation (if enabled) — may be treated as “sensitive” under certain laws. We use it only to provide the Services you request, for security and fraud prevention, and other purposes permitted by law, and not to infer characteristics for advertising. Where the law requires opt-in consent, we obtain it; where it provides a right to limit use, you may exercise it per §13.

17. Children & minors

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. You must be at least [[18]] to use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for “sale”/“sharing”). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@traderverse.io and we will delete it. See also our Child Safety & CSAE policy.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (e.g., email or in-app) where required. Continued use after the effective date means you acknowledge the updated policy.
